Azura MASANI AZURA has been belly dancing for over 25 years. She is internationally known having performed and taught throughout the United States and Acapulco. MASANI AZURA is a dance choreographer and most noted for her fiery shimmies and Kashlimar. Her repertoire includes Egyptian Cabaret, tambourine, sword, veil (straight and circular), cane, candle, ribbon sticks and gypsy. She has an extensive ballet background as well as jazz, African-Ethnic and Latin. MASANI AZURA has performed at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival for over 15 years as a member of the Ghawazee Dancers and the Binta Luna Dancers. She is primarily known as a soloist, and has performed at many dance seminars over the years including Rakkasah in San Francisco (2 years), Belly Fest in Little Rock, and Shake and Bake in Acapulco. MASANI AZURA is a noted belly dance instructor. She taught at the Lawrence Parks and Recreation for 4 years before moving to Kansas City where she taught lessons out of her home. On the seminar circuit, she has taught in Little Rock, St. Louis, Kansas City, Des Moines, Omaha, Grand Junction, Sedalia, Wichita. She teaches belly dance in Lawrence, KS every other Sunday through Nomad Dance Tapestry that she co-founded with her protégé, Jemira Ali. MASANI AZURA is also an accomplished Middle Eastern drummer. She is skilled in teaching drum and zils. MASANI

dance movement, drumming and costuming. She also expands the dance experience
